
Yes, this is our “red and green” of summer. With the children all grown and out of the nest, we have cut way back on our veggie gardening. For several years now, we are exclusively “red and green” people. We grow tomatoes and green peppers. What we can’t eat fresh or give away, we freeze to be used later in sauces and stews.
But we haven’t forgotten the days of growing 6-ft. high corn, carrots, onion, zucchini, peas, and other yummy veggies. Here’s a look back:

That's also a great shot of the old hop-scotch. There is still a very faint shadow of it left today...
The red are green are so beautiful, yummy. My garden is very sad this summer. I have a very small spaghetti squash that won't amount to anything, and I have a few very pathetic zucchini.
Mmmmm, we'll take some of those green peppers!!
