Screaming for Ice Cream

You scream, I scream, we all scream for ice cream. Doesn’t the month of July just beg for ice cream? These pictures were taken in March of 2008, when Grammy took her Knoxville granddaughters to the quilt show where two of Grammy's quilts were displayed. Of course, a trip for ice cream followed. Don't these pictures beg for another trip for ice cream.

Ice Cream trivia:

--21 seconds is the duration of the typical “brain freeze”
--Americans spend $21.6 Billion on ice cream and related frozen desserts each year
--An average American consumes about 21.5 quarts of that frozen stuff in a year
--The largest ice cream sundae ever made (Alberta, Canada, in 1988) weighed 55,000 pounds
(Thanks to LDS Living for these facts.)

Ice cream comes in many varieties such as: frozen custard, frozen yogurt, sorbet, and gelato. It can even be made with soy milk, rice milk or goat milk for those who are lactose intolerant or allergic to dairy protein.

Anyone remember the “ice cream” truck? We actually still have one of those that cruises our neighborhood. Yes, it’s that time of year to scream for ice cream.

It’s also time for a nice COOL give away. A gift certificate for Baskin-Robbins awaits the lucky winner drawn from those who post a comment.

We have an ice cream truck that comes around quite a bit too. It's how I taught my kids what the word "rip-off" means.
I could really go for 55,000 pounds of ice cream right now.

Where ever you guys went for ice cream looks like great place, that vanilla cone makes me think I need it!
Please don't include me in your drawing, one of my best babysitters works at BR so we benefit very well from her. She's been there for almost 2 years.
